Creating a Sliced Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator

 

To create a sliced text effect in Adobe Illustrator, start by typing your desired text using the Type Tool and selecting a bold, sans-serif font for clarity. Convert the text to outlines by right-clicking and choosing "Create Outlines" to transform it into editable vector shapes. Next, use the Pen Tool or Line Segment Tool to draw straight lines where you want the text to appear sliced. Select both the text outlines and the lines, then use the "Divide" option in the Pathfinder panel to split the text into separate segments. Ungroup the resulting shapes, and you can then move or offset the sliced sections slightly to enhance the effect.
